The Row of terraced houses next to the small harbour were built in 18th century.
In 1951 Sverri Dahl, an archaeologist, made some archaeological investigations in connections with some excavating that was done close to these houses. Here he found a number of artifacts that are dated back to year 1000-1200 a.c.
