Upon the “Eið” several sheds are situated. These sheds are made from water -rolled stones found on Malarenda, where the beach is today. The sheds were originally used for drying fish and meat from whale, and later used as haybarns. Today the sheds are listed. The placement of the houses close to the ocean in the east makes them threatened, because the surf is gradually eating away the isthmus. The area used to be common ground for everybody to use.
